Formulas & Methodology

MRR / ARR

  • MRR = Number of Customers × Average Revenue per Customer
  • ARR = MRR × 12

LTV

  • LTV = ARPC / Monthly Churn Rate
  • Healthy LTV:CAC ratio is 3:1 or higher

Churn Rate

  • Monthly Churn = Lost Customers / Starting Customers
  • Annual Churn = 1 - (1 - Monthly)^12

Quick Ratio

  • Measures growth efficiency
  • = (New MRR + Expansion) / (Churned + Contraction)
  • Target: > 4 for hypergrowth SaaS

Burn Multiple

  • How efficiently you convert cash burn into growth
  • = Net Burn / Net New ARR
  • Target: < 1.5x for efficient growth
